Of course, as in just about any job, there are certain educational requirements to be met. Good news is that it takes a relatively small time to become a certified dental assistant. Dental assistants receive their formal education through academic programs at community colleges, vocational schools, technical institutes, universities or dental schools. Once you graduate from such an educational institution, you will get a certificate which allows you to practice this profession. For the most part, dental assistance programs take nine to eleven months to complete. At the end of the course, students have to pass the Dental Assisting National Board's (DANB) Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) exam. But to be allowed to enter the exam, you have to complete the course in an accredited educational institution.

When writing your resume letter, try to cover all the qualifications and positive skils you have, but if you are being honest, you won't try to make the red appear black.
